My family and myself returned to East Wittering having had a wonderful time last year in a Wellies and Windbreak rental. This year Beira Mar was just as good. Beautifully situated right on the beach and from the main bedroom upstairs, a wonderful view of the sea. Although the weather was not very good, the house was large enough for us all not to be on top of each other when inside. The TV was a great size so we all loved watching Wimbledon from the comfortable sofas and chair. The kitchen had everything we needed in it and the proximity of the shops made our meals very easy. The fridge/freezer was a good size for us and all equipment such as oven, microwave and coffee maker much appreciated. The beds were so comfortable and linen provided was just right. It would have been nice perhaps, to have a chair in the larger bedrooms to put your clothes on at night? The white painted staircase made me anxious about the paint getting chipped but it appeared sturdy! The bathrooms were beautifully equipped and the showers excellent.
All in all, a lovely time in a great house by the sea.

If you love being by the sea, Beira Mar is a great place to go. Right on the beach, and a short walk from shops, pubs and restaurants makes it almost perfect for a relaxing holiday. We had the bonus of great weather while there, which ensured we had a great holiday.

Beira Mar also benefits from being on a private estate, so it is quiet and peaceful.

Thoroughly recommended for a relaxing break.

Beira Mar has everything you need for a wonderful family beach holiday. Safe secure garden leading straight on to the beach, on a quiet private residential street. The house is very well equipped for all your needs and there are plenty of local shops and restaurants to choose from. If you wish to go farther afield there are many sights to see, from Arundel Castle to Chichester and harbour tours and a small passenger ferry to Bosham from Itchenor – this is good for walkers and bikers. If you look closely enough, you may occasionally see seals popping their heads above water just in front of the house and kestrels hovering above the grass banks. We have thoroughly enjoyed our week here.

The property accommodated four adults and two grandchildren adequately. We enjoyed our stay at Beira Mar despite the weather which provided, on occasion, dramatic seas from the main bedroom window. We did walk along the coastline to West Wittering a few times. When sea sea is out it is possible to walk along the hard mud flats which was really enjoyable. If the sea is in then it is hard going walking on the shingle beach although there is a broken pathway in parts.

East Wittering village has a few shops and restaurants, also there is a fisherman’s hut approximately 750 mtrs from the property, along the coast, going towards East Wittering. We bought some delicious skate that had been caught that morning by the fisherman from the local area.

We were disappointed not to find a welcome pack on our arrival. Also, the limited supply of toilet rolls provided, one for each of the three toilets, the minimal amount of dish washer and washing machine tablets and to read the request to ‘replace everything we have used’ after payment of a significant rental.

We had a lovely stay at Beira Mar. Great location on beachfront. 10 minutes walk along the beach to the town. Quiet residential area. Great for a break to get away from it all. The house was clean and well presented. Communication was good at all times with Wellies and Windbreaks.

Great location. The lounge looking out onto the garden and the sea was so relaxing. Couldn’t have been better.
The main bedroom was so comfortable, a great king size bed with a wonderful sea views to wake up to.
The lounge was comfortable for us all to gather in for christmas telly viewing and eating.
The house had everything including a very safe garden for our dogs.
Fab location to go into the village for coffee and shops and a 15 minute drive to a very large Tesco.
Plenty of hot water and heating.
A great stay. We’ll be back next year.
