Fleetwood is a fabulous family holiday home right on the beach front in East Wittering. Located in the quiet private Coney Six residential estate, Fleetwood is an ideal property for a holiday with family and friends. Sleeping 12 in 5 bedrooms and with 5 bathrooms, the property is spacious, comfortable and very well laid out for large groups. The first and second floor both have very large balconies so the sea view can be enjoyed from almost anywhere in the house. There is also a large beach facing garden and plenty of parking to the rear.

Fleetwood is a fabulous family holiday home right on the beach front in East Wittering. With two balconies the full width of the house on both the first and second floors, the breathtaking view of the sea can be enjoyed from pretty much anywhere in the property. Fleetwood has been loved as a holiday home for generations.

Bedroom 5: Double bunk room (ground floor)

Fleetwood sleeps twelve in five bedrooms. The remaining 4 bedrooms all have king size beds and en-suite bathrooms. There is a king on the ground floor, two on the first floor and the large bedroom on the top floor has picture windows the full width of the room, with sliding doors out onto a private balcony. There is no better bed to wake up in on the beach front.

The property enjoys plenty of relaxing and entertaining space with a large open plan kitchen / sitting / dining room on the ground floor, leading on to the secure and private beach front garden. There is also a sitting room on the first floor with sliding doors, the full width of the room, out onto the balcony.

Fleetwood is pet friendly and dogs can play to their hearts content in the secure garden. With the beach just through the garden gate, it is canine heaven. This stretch of the beach is dog friendly all year round. Dog owners are requested to clear up after their pets upon departure and pets are not permitted upstairs, in any of the bedrooms or on the soft furnishings.

Coney Six is a private residential estate so the road is quiet and all the neighbours very friendly. It is just a five minute walk into the village of East Wittering and a ten minute walk in the other direction to Billys on the Beach in Bracklesham Bay…undoubtedly one of the best restaurants in the area and the only one on the beach front.

Fleetwood has plenty of parking for at least four or five cars on the drive and is secured by large iron gate.

For a large group holiday or multi generational family gathering, Fleetwood is hard to beat. Its beach front location and spectacular lay out make it the perfect family holiday home.

A most enjoyable family holiday.

Well appointed house, ideal for large families. Convenient location with a pleasant short walk to local shops. Wonderful balcony views from the first floor lounge and second floor bedroom.

great position but house and garden were tired

Sky TV did not work at all. Cooker was past its best, several door locks were broken. Cleaning was not up to standard. Kids room overcrowded with extra folded cots. We have stayed in other houses in The Witterings and have enjoyed a better standard.

Dear Pat and Laurence.

Thank you very much for your constructive and fair feedback. You did highlight the patio door lock to me when you were there and the owners are getting that fixed right away. We did discuss the oven too during your stay and as explained, the owners were aware that it was nearing the end of its life and already had a replacement on order. For the benefit of future guests who are reading this review, the house will have a new oven from mid October.

The Sky issue was highlighted to me on your last day and I did suggest some trouble shooting tips. The owners are going to check it themselves this week in case it is a connection issue. This will be resolved immediately. I apologise for the inconvenience.

I am grateful for the feedback about general cleanliness. It is always disappointing when guests don’t find the houses spotlessly clean. I shall have words with the clean staff. Equally, I shall highlight to the owners that the garden is in need of some attention.

The cots have been removed and should not all have been in there. I do apologise. I thought they were under the beds but either way, there should only be two stored in the house.

I am really grateful for your feedback as without it I can’t maintain high standards in the properties. The summer has been long this year and Fleetwood in particular does let very well during the school holidays. I appreciate that it may need some end of season TLC and I shall ensure that it receives it.

The views and location cannot be beaten. I was a bit nervous after seeing the other reviews about cleanliness but it’s a family home not a clinical hotel and we found it to be perfect
Yes they are things that could be improved on but I would not hesitate to come back and was tempted to say it was awful to avoid it getting booked up the views from the top bedroom was just fabulous

A great holiday

We had a really good week, the house and location were wonderful. The house has been very thoughtfully designed, and the location being close to the beach and shops/cafes was great and yet in a quiet part of Wittering. The views from the balconies are spectacular.

Fleetwood

The position of Fleetwood, directly on East Wittering beach, cannot be rivalled and we particularly liked the balconies for their sea views. It is a large property with plenty of social space and the sitting room on the first floor is great for teenagers in a family stay that crosses several generations. It is a comfortable property and the kitchen is well stocked. All but one room has double beds which reduces flexibility in sleeping arrangements but we would definitely stay here again.

Lovely house fabulous location

We had a lovely stay at Fleetwood. Multi generational family group. The house is really spacious and all rooms apart from the bunk room have en-suite bathrooms. Everyone was happy with their room. The garden is sheltered so a sun trap when the sun shines and very safe for children and dogs. The location is amazing- a short walk into East Wittering and the views from the balconies are wonderful and falling asleep listening to the waves is magical. The cooker needs attention- it’s very temperamental and gets very hot- a house this size and standard needs a decent cooker especially as eating out with a large group is not easy. The kitchen is well equipped and there are loads of games/toys/outdoor equipment for children. Having read previous reviews about cleanliness we found it to be spotless when we arrived. Amanda is very helpful and I would not hesitate to recommend the company and the property.
