Coronation Weekend with the Girls
We had the best weekend. Chosen because it is not too far from home but far enough to know you are going on holiday. Great location and we were lucky with the weather. A Coronation celebration and we had everything we needed. Only gave it a 3 for comfort but this purely relates to the furniture in the lounge. We were 6 ladies and whilst there is enough seating it was simply not comfortable, sorry. Got locked in the upstairs bathroom because the lock was broken but could easily be sorted. The Garden room was great and we had a fab games afternoon in there. Did not use the Hot Tub as we felt it was an expense we did not need and we didn’t miss it. Lovely walk on the coast and to the pub for a roast. Was a great weekend.
Great stay in a seafront location
Our second stay with Wellies and Windbreaks and wasn’t disappointed with this great property. In a lovely seafront location. Seacote feels like a home from home makes you feel comfortable. Although we missed not having a microwave. Everything else taken care of. Heating/hot water not working on arrival but contacted agency and up and running later in the evening. Great communication. Enjoyed the veranda and the spacious bedroom upstairs. Dogs loved playing in the garden and it was nice and secure for our 2 very small dogs. Summer house was a bonus as we were fortunate to have mostly sunny weather. You have plenty of options for eating in shops close by within 5 mins walk or Asda just a bit further. Overall a great stay.
Amazing Weekend at the end of Nov with dogs.
We had an amazing weekend stay here at the end of Nov. 6 adults and 2 dogs. The house set up was fabulous for us and a fantastic location. The garden was perfectly secure for our 2 labs, who adored all the new smells.
Fish & chip shop 3 min walk away. Very friendly pub 10 mins walk away. Premier shop 3 mins walk away and a big Asda a short drive.
I would certainly recommend this and once we have sorted out dates, I hope to book this again next summer.
Lovely, well presented holiday cottage
We really enjoyed our stay at Seacote. It’s a lovely, well presented holiday cottage.
Its position, right next to the sea, was perfect for us as a family of 7 including a newborn and dog!
The property was extremely clean and comfortable with plenty of room for all of us.
We were very pleased with how the kitchen was equipped, the good quality bedding and towels (which smelt very nice) and the little touches of shower gel, coffee, tea etc.
The hot tub was definitely a hit with all the family enjoying a glass of fizz in the bubbles (not the newborn or dog obviously!!)
We all love walking and the walks from the property were great, especially up to the Nature Reserve, where all sorts of wild fowl can be seen. We passed Selsey’s railway carriage homes along the route which were very interesting. Julie’s crab hut a short walk along the beach had the most delicious crab – probably the best I’ve ever eaten! We also tried the local fish and chip shop, a short walk from Seacote, which was also excellent.
Buses into Chichester are easy as there is a bus stop nearby with the journey taking about 45 minutes.
Communication with Amanda from Wellies and Windbreaks was excellent. She was quick to answer, with all requests acted on extremely quickly.
All in all we had a lovely time at Seacote and would recommend to family and friends. Hopefully we can stay again in the not too distant future.
Thanks Wellies and Windbreaks.
If the weather hadn't been brilliant then I think the stay would have been worse
Overall the property was ok. But we kept finding small issues, such as dirty plates, glasses, oven tray’s, food left in the freezer from I presume previous users, sink plug in en-suite didn’t work, the garden was not kept nice, overgrown grass/hedges, generally dirty inside and out, cobwebs etc. The barbecue tray was not clean so we didn’t use the barbecue while we were their. It didn’t seem not all the jets were working in the hot tub (could be our mistake though not a hot tub expert). The automatic lawn mower going in the middle of the night keeping the downstairs bedroom user awake. We weren’t aware there was a car park outside the property. Disturbance/noise from people outside during the nights. I know these are not major ‘issues’ but to us paying the amount of money we paid, which to us is a lot of money, you want somewhere that is at least nice to use and be in. Unfortunately, we didn’t feel as happy as we hoped and this is reflected in our lower scores. We think the property needs a good clean and maintenance revamp and perhaps the owners are not fully aware. It certainly didn’t look like the photos on the website! Good job the weather was nice as this helped alleviate our cripes and made the holiday for us.
Great stay at Seacote
Fab weekend for 5 Adults and 2 children at Seacote , comfortable, all we needed in the house and the hot tub was a hit. A big shout out to Amanda from Wellies and Windbreakers for excellent service from booking to arrival .
