Wayside Cottage is a perfect holiday retreat for those wanting to enjoy the beautiful countryside and surrounding seaside. Situated in the beautiful village of Itchenor it is perfectly located to explore the Chichester Harbour estuary, attend one of the many events at Goodwood, spend the day at West Wittering beach or just relax in the beautiful surrounding countryside.

Comprising of:

  • Bedroom 1: Double bed, with en-suite shower (first floor)
  • Bedroom 2: Small double (4' bed), with small en-suite shower room (first floor)
  • Bedroom 3: Twin beds

The light open plan kitchen is bright and spacious and has a conservatory overlooking the garden with a couple of comfy sofas. The sitting room has two spacious areas with a new wood burner that is the perfect place to snuggle up with a book or in front of the TV. Upstairs there are three good sized bedrooms. The first bedroom has a double (4'6" bed) with en-suite shower, the second has a small double (4' bed) with small en-suite shower room and the third is a twin with use of the separate large family bathroom. There is parking for two cars at the property, with additional parking in the conservancy car park near the pub.

The house is a 5 minute walk to the waters edge in Itchenor where there's a great local pub, The Ship, which serves local ales and great food. There is also a coffee shop (The Quarter Deck) situated in the local boatyard on the foreshore, serving great coffees and lunchtime snacks.

There are a variety scenic walks and cycle routes in the area, all of which can be accessed a couple of minutes from the house without the need of a car. The Itchenor to Bosham ferry is a lovely way to explore. West Wittering beach is a 5 minute drive away.

Gorgeous house in perfect spot, in the idyllic village of Itchenor.
It’s a short walk from the harbour, with its boat tours and little ferry to Bosham, as well as the local pub and cafe.
The house is a good size for a family, it has 2 large rooms, one with a double bed and en-suite bathroom, another with 2 singles, adjacent to a large family bathroom, there is a third, smaller double bedroom with a small en suite bathroom. There is a large open plan kitchen and 2 separate lounge areas. A decent garden. It’s a very peaceful area.
The house is close to West Wittering beach, cycling on the Salterns Way and all the other attractions that this lovely area has to offer.

Delightful friendly hosts were very welcoming and helpful. House was spacious with an excellent kitchen and dining area.
Many breakout/relaxing areas that one could spend some quite time reading or doing a little work on the laptop.
Very good bike hire delivered and collected; excellent windsurfing instructor (Ian at Winds Up).
All in all an excellent property.
Highly recommended.
