A Perfect Week
We have just spent a week at Seaspray with ages ranging from 7 – 75yrs. The house and location were ideal. We loved the fact that the house was right on the beach, and my daughter, her partner and my grand daughter thoroughly enjoyed swimming in the sea on several days. It is a pebbly beach , and quite steep to walk down , but a bit more sandy when the tide is out. The lovely thing about Selsey is that there are very few tourists , so even though it was beautiful hot weather in the middle of the school holidays, it was never busy on the beach.
We can recommend walking along the promenade , ( 10 mins walk from the house ) and visiting the lifeboat station . The volunteer guides were SO interesting that we ended up talking to them for an hour.
There are lots of places to visit from Selsey , all about 20-30 mins drive. The only place we would not recommend is West Wittering beach – it was packed and the traffic was awful .
One thing to note is that there is really only space for one car outside the house, although the website says two. You could only manage this if they were VERY small ! The space is also very narrow, with a wall on one side and a fence on the other, which makes things a bit difficult. However, the good news is that there is a large car park just over the road where we were always able to easily park our second car , and they only charge £2.30 for 24 hours. There is also a bus stop opposite, with buses to Chichester every 15 minutes which could be useful.
We enjoyed our dinner at Lals in the high street ( booking necessary) . Ask to sit outside if possible. Also had a delicious lobster roll at the Lobster Pot cafe in Felpham ( on the beach).
The kitchen is well equipped and It’s also good to know in advance that although the fridge is only an under the counter size , at least there are two of them , which makes things much easier.
Love the views !
Love this house! Very comfortable, tastefully decorated and in a great location. This was my 2nd time of staying at Seaspray and the weather was still very hot but a few degrees cooler on the coast which was lovely. There’s a few maintenance things that need looking at : the ice box doors in both fridges are broken, the extractor fan in the en-suite is very noisy, could close the balcony doors plus the furniture could do with a clean in some areas. Otherwise all great really enjoyed it.
Excellent accommodation !
Seaspray is an attractive well appointed terraced house, overlooking the beach
in close proximity. We spent a very comfortable weekend here with friends and our dogs. We enjoyed lovely beach walks straight from the house and from there, easy access to the town’s cafes and eateries.
The only criticism of Seaspray is that there
is no welcome pack of milk, tea or coffee on arrival. After a long journey this would have been most welcome. We did however, receive a bar of chocolate which was appreciated.
Lovely house, great views, excellent customer service
Stayed a few night’s for mum’s 80th. Lovely, comfortable house, right on the sea front. Well equipped & very relaxing, with a great sea view. Highly recommend.
Seaspray
We had a wonderful relaxing break having the beach and sea view made to experience so special .
The house was very clean and had everything you needed well worth booking .
Beautiful house in great location
The location is perfect. You can hear the waves at night and sit out and look at the stars. Wood is provided for the woodstove and it is so cosy sitting by it. The place is very clean and easy communication with W&W. Lovely bedrooms with good blackout blinds.
