Summer Holiday
We stayed for a week in August. The weather was good to us which really helps with any holiday. The accommodation was lovely. Excellent location. Perfect with and without kids. We were two families. Our only gripe would be a separate tv/sitting room for kids but that isnt the properties fault. We would go back, for sure. Thanks for a lovely stay Seacote. We currently have Seacote, Selsey blues. Take us back.
We had a lovely time grand daughter enjoyed the beach being so near and the dogs had a lovely time
Lovely Cosy Seaside Christmas Getaway
Weve booked with Wellies & Windbreaks before, staying at their property The Courtyard in West Wittering for Christmas 2021, which was absolutely wonderful so we decided to book again for Christmas 2023. When it wasnt available we went for Seacote.
A really lovely little house, just a very short stones throw from the beach.
Just as shown in the photos.
Lovely clean rooms throughout with simple decor and nice little bits of art.
Well stocked kitchen – everything we needed to prepare a full Christmas lunch.
Wonderful view of the sea from the master bedroom and you could also see the sea from the living room.
Hot tub was a real plus – fabulously hot – and we made the most of it!
And the enclosed garden for the dog was great.
We were told thered be some wood to get us started with the log burner however there wasnt any which was a little annoying, and the log burner itself was a somewhat tricky to operate. Allso there was a loose kick board under the kitchen counter which kept falling down, but those are the only small criticisms.
If we had to choose again wed probably go for The Courtyard as it was more spacious, had an open fire, and we preferred the beach (further away but much bigger and more open) and the general locale along the coast in West Wittering.
That being said, Seacote is a very lovely holiday home, and in fact, I imagine it would really come into its own in the summer with the sea being so close and the great summer house in the garden.
Many thanks, Wellies & Windbreaks once again.
Great home by the sea
A good family house
Selsey is not very nice but the house was comfortable and well set up for a family with small children. Great garden with dining table and if you join the seafront and turn left theres a nice walk. Fine as a base to get out to nice areas like Chichester harbour and to sandy beaches at the Witterings. Wed use Wellies and Windbreaks again but would be more careful to check the location next time.
Extra special stay in Selsey
A wonderful week in Selsey. The house was perfect for my parents, me and my husband, and our children. The house has absolutely everything you’d need for the week in terms of furnishings and kitchen ware. The location directly opposite the beach is incredible. The beaches are uncrowded, the sea is calm, and you can easily walk to the lifeboat station, an amazing bakery, green grocer, and small shop. In the warm months when the weather is nice there is a fish and chips shop and ice cream shop open next to the seaside playground and skatepark. This is a more residential area of Selsey so away from the resorts which we liked. We were very comfortable in Seacote and hope to return!

Coronation Weekend with the Girls
We had the best weekend. Chosen because it is not too far from home but far enough to know you are going on holiday. Great location and we were lucky with the weather. A Coronation celebration and we had everything we needed. Only gave it a 3 for comfort but this purely relates to the furniture in the lounge. We were 6 ladies and whilst there is enough seating it was simply not comfortable, sorry. Got locked in the upstairs bathroom because the lock was broken but could easily be sorted. The Garden room was great and we had a fab games afternoon in there. Did not use the Hot Tub as we felt it was an expense we did not need and we didnt miss it. Lovely walk on the coast and to the pub for a roast. Was a great weekend.
Great stay in a seafront location
Our second stay with Wellies and Windbreaks and wasnt disappointed with this great property. In a lovely seafront location. Seacote feels like a home from home makes you feel comfortable. Although we missed not having a microwave. Everything else taken care of. Heating/hot water not working on arrival but contacted agency and up and running later in the evening. Great communication. Enjoyed the veranda and the spacious bedroom upstairs. Dogs loved playing in the garden and it was nice and secure for our 2 very small dogs. Summer house was a bonus as we were fortunate to have mostly sunny weather. You have plenty of options for eating in shops close by within 5 mins walk or Asda just a bit further. Overall a great stay.
Amazing Weekend at the end of Nov with dogs.
We had an amazing weekend stay here at the end of Nov. 6 adults and 2 dogs. The house set up was fabulous for us and a fantastic location. The garden was perfectly secure for our 2 labs, who adored all the new smells.
Fish & chip shop 3 min walk away. Very friendly pub 10 mins walk away. Premier shop 3 mins walk away and a big Asda a short drive.
I would certainly recommend this and once we have sorted out dates, I hope to book this again next summer.
