Marigold cottage is in a great location in East wittering, although on the main street, it was very quiet and peaceful. The cottage itself was very nice and had everything we needed for two weeks. Our only criticism would be the double bed was, uncomfortable, because of a very soggy mattress and the pillows were Very unsatisfactory . A new mat in the kitchen is also needed.

Stayed a few times at Marigold. We love it. Great location. Getting help and responses from our inquiries is always immediate. We will be going back in a few weeks.Can’t recommend it enough

Our third visit. Just the 2 of us so perfect! 4 adults could’ve proved a little small in terms of one loo and small kitchen however the living/dining room and outside space decked area with shrubs and feature plantings plus a patio table for four! If neighbouring properties are occupied at the same time especially in summer months it be a little less peaceful! Easy to park the car in the nearby vicinity. Bedrooms were comfortable but would’ve liked larger bath towels for the 2nd bedroom otherwise a lovely nest for relaxation close to everything East Wittering has to offer!

Marigold Cottage was a delightful home for Christmas week and we had a festive welcome with a door wreath and decorated tree.
The kitchen had everything we needed in it, the wood burner was easy to use and really made the cottage cosy and the cupboards were well equipped so we could keep the place clean and tidy. The garden was secure for the dog but we didn’t go out to sit in it as the weather was rather wet and windy but with the beach so close, walks along the coast were the preferred way to spend time outside.
The children loved time off their phones doing a couple of the puzzles that were in a lounge area cupboard and the dog enjoyed the close proximity to the beach.
We highly recommend Doms, the pizza/pasta takeaway that was two doors down, the staff were super friendly and helpful and the food absolutely delicious!
The village had some delightful shops including Candies the sweet shop, the grocers, bakers and butchers and the Co-op for those forgotten essentials.
Booking Marigold Cottage was very easy, communication throughout was highly efficient and a link was sent to add a very user friendly app to our phone home screen so all information was just a tap away.

We were blessed with wonderful sunny weather so took full advantage of the gorgeous beach at the end of the road. Our children loved kayaking and bodyboarding each day. There is a wonderful pizza place 3 doors down, plus we had a couple of great meals at nearby Drifters. There is a brilliant selection of shops in the village so we never had to go far for anything. We loved our early morning and evening beach walks to nearby West Wittering. The Cottage really was perfect for a beach get away, we would love to return. Our preference would be to have bigger bath towels and blackout curtains but those are tiny niggles!

This is the 3rd time we have stayed in the marigold cottage and we love the little bolt hold next to the sea. Positives – location, lovely cottage style, good size bathroom and garden

You couldn’t ask for more with the beach being a mere 2 minute walk with a delicious pizzaria and gelato place just 3 houses down!

Well appointed and comfortable cottage. 2 minute stroll to the beach in one direction and a 3-5 minute stroll to some restaurants and shops in the other. Easy key collection on day of arrival with a few starter items in place ( loo rolls, dish cloths, washing up liquid, dishwasher tabs etc) Have stayed in this cottage many times and plan to continue to stay again. The only negative is the decking in the little garden could do with replacing.

Cosy cottage close to amenities and the sea. 50 yards from the Shore Inn which is a great locals pub with good beer and food. Log burner was a struggle without instructions, but logs and kindling was a nice touch.

We had such a great holiday in East Wittering, the beach was a two minute walk from the cottage and we were right next to the shops, cafes and restaurants. We regularly walked to the sandy beaches of West Wittering when the tide was out which our dogs adored. The cottage was small but perfectly set up and had everything we needed. Wellies and Windbreaks were fantastic, great communication and super helpful, we would thoroughly recommend!

We have always loved the Witterings so finding out this cottage was available to rent was amazing. We loved staying here it was so picturesque and cosy. A stone throw to the beach and shops couldn’t be any better. Lovely dog walks in the morning and evenings. Great restaurants nearby and shopping if needed in Chichester. Already booked up again to go next week.

We had a lovely week at Marigold Cottage spending most of our time on the beach with the dogs.5 mins walk from cottage. There is plenty of plates,cups, pots,pans etc but we ate most days in The Boulevard Restaurant opposite the cottage. The village has plenty of shops if you wish to cook. It is an old cottage and therefore the stairs creak every time used, as the bathroom is downstairs can be disturbing at night. Some of the information given in the brochure can be misleading as it covers all properties.Lovely garden, mainly decking with a small artificial grass area. We were able to park opposite the cottage as it was after 30th September.
A guide to use the sky TV controls would be useful for guests who don’t have sky. Central heating was very good, didn’t need the wood burner. Will visit again.

Had a wonderful fortnight in this lovely, cosy cottage, so close to everything we loved … the beach; the coastal path; a great pub! (Shore Inn) and all shops and amenities within easy walking distance. The location made it all effortless and we scarcely used our car.
The downstairs bathroom was a small disadvantage (my husband has poor balance and found night-time ‘visits’ a little worrying) … but it wasn’t a big issue.
One tiny thing; please provide a tray! – makes the to-and-fro easier when setting the table and taking morning tea upstairs.

All in all its a super rental. We’d come back and would recommend it to anyone.

We had a lovely time at Marigold cottage, great location and nice outside space to enjoy the sunshine. Everything you need and very clean. There are one or two points that need some attention, the gate directly onto a busy road has a faulty latch that won’t close properly so a child or dog could easily walk directly into the road, there is also a large nail sticking up through the rug in the back bedroom that I stood on. Other that these minor points yes well recommend.
