We stayed at Little Orchard with our family for Christmas. The house was very comfortable with plenty of space for our family as it had two separate sitting areas. The kitchen was well equipped with a utility room that had a large fridge/freezer. There was a good ratio of bedrooms to bathrooms.

We didn’t use the outside spaces as it was winter. But the outdoor kitchen would be great in the summer months.

Overall a very happy family getaway

The house is spacious and beautifully furnished to a very high specification. The separate sitting room was very welcome.
it is very well equipped with many thoughtful details.
Our multigenerational party enjoyed the outdoor space and the children made full use of the hot tub and trampoline.
the barbecue and pizza oven were also a useful addition,as were the items of beach equipment -boards , trolleys etc.
Obviously a great deal of thought had been put into making this an extremely comfortable holiday home.

I booked Little Orchard for a surprise 70th birthday celebration for my husband as we need somewhere to accommodate 8 adults and 5 children under 8. The accommodation looked fantastic in the photos and we were not disappointed. The house is decorated and furnished to a very high standard and is extremely comfortable and well equipped. The highlight for us was the outside area with comfortable seating, barbecue and pizza oven, and of course the hot tub was amazing and worth the extra cost. Our 5 granddaughters loved the trampoline and the ‘dorm room’ where the four oldest slept together. The communication with Angela and Amanda was very efficient and they always responded quickly to my questions and they couldn’t have been more accommodating. Everyone loved West Wittering, the beach is beautiful and the two trolleys were perfect for transporting all of our stuff for a day of sun, sea and sand – we were so lucky with the weather. A perfect stay in a perfect place.

The location was great and the house was just the right space for our group.
We had 9 ladies and all stayed in the main house and didn’t use the studio. The house was clean and had everything that was needed for the weekend.
The check in and check out procedure was easy.
We had a couple of small issues, we ran out of hot water very quickly with only 3 people having showers on Saturday morning. We reset the hive thermostat but it took a long time for hot water to come back on. Then again on Sunday morning there was no hot water, we turned on the hot water on the thermostat and it did after a while start coming through. We couldn’t find instructions for the thermostat or what the schedule was or if any had been set.
The outside fridge was cold on Friday night but it seemed to increase in temperature and all the drinks were warm/hot on Saturday (we weren’t sure if it was an issue with the fridge or something to do with the hot weather).
Other than those few issues we had a great time!

Complete luxury. Wonderful home from home. We are looking forward to another visit soon. The Witterings are gorgeous in all weathers and the house was warm and cosy despite the bitter March winds. Hot tub a bonus! Fabulous stay.,

I have used Wellies and Windbreaks in the past and always have good service and trust that the properties in their portfolio are excellent. Little Orchard did not disappoint. Had a wonderful weekend spent celebrating my son’s 40th birthday. The house was big enough for 10 of us to spread out. In addition the weather was amazing for January albeit freezing but a 20 minute walk to the beach warmed us up and a great time was had by all. The pizza oven was enjoyed by the men who produced some delicious pizzas for the rest of us! Small criticism that cooking in the kitchen area was a bit tight for cooking for 10 but manageable. Nice open plan feel but enough space elsewhere to spread out. Great place for a summer break too I’m sure.

We were a group consisting of two families; couple, a disabled adult , a male carer and two teenagers. The house was perfect for our needs. The kitchen /living room was a great focal point and the bedrooms were well spread out so we all felt we had our privacy. The kitchen is amazingly well equipped and the beds and bathrooms were great too. No complaints at all . We hope one day to stay again

Lovely location near to the beach ..The size to suit a family of 10 with facilities to match..it would be great any time of the year.

The only disappointment was the position of the bed in the garden room with one long side tight up against a wall and no TV…

I stumbled across Wellies and Windbreaks whilst looking to book a place for 9 friends to have a TLC weekend away (between us we have 18 children so needed a break!). We wanted a relaxed, chilled out weekend away together near the sea. And Little Orchard delivered and exceeded our expectations. The accommodation is a great design that flows for a large group and full of comfort and luxury. There were many things that we loved about the property and it was well thought out – like an abundance of hooks, good storage, extremely well equipped kitchen. The beds are really comfortable and come with really good bedding/pillows. We had a small issue with the hot tub on arrival but Amanda was responsive and quick to resolve the issue. It was easy to book, the online guide was helpful to plan and use and I have booked again next year. BOOM!!

We had a three generation weekend break here. The house is beautifully presented, tastefully furnished and well equipped. Our family thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub and trampoline in particular. Special appreciation goes to the provision of two beach buggies which we gratefully used to transport all our kit to the beach for the day. A small weakness was that the outside area could have been cleaned a bit better, specifically the table top was dirty and the area needed a good sweep.

Fab home with nearly everything you could want and a short walk to the beach. Lots of space which is great for families. A separate room for movie watching, board games etc. was really great. An outdoor pizza oven which is tricky to use if you aren’t used to it(-the peel is tucked away in the shed.)

Our family discussed what would make this house absolutely perfect and we would have loved the seating area to have a cover-maybe a sail etc. as we like to sit out in all weathers. We would have liked a shower in the master bedroom (I couldn’t use the bath because I’ve had surgery) and the huge bed upstairs to be downstairs with the en-suite. The weather was terrible so mats would have been good to put down by the doors. We love cooking and would like much bigger saucepans and a potato masher! The kitchen did have tons of glasses, plates, bowls etc and a great seating area.

Four parents, three teens and a granny had a really lovely Christmas in this fab house so thank you very much x

A brilliant weekend away for 9 mums at Little Orchard – the layout of the house was ideal for our group with plenty of room, a brilliant open-plan cooking and eating area and of course, hot tub. Everything we needed was provided, all very clean and modern. Great location too – easy 15 mins walk to the beach, and village pub was very welcoming.

We all decided we’d like to live there and would love to return in the summer to make the most of the outdoor eating area.

Had a great holiday in this lovely house with our children and grandchildren. House is very comfortable and well equipped with all you need (apart from a microwave!) – plenty of kitchen equipment and crockery / cutlary. Also very comfortable beds with nice bedding and towels. The outside space is great too – we were lucky enough to have some good enough weather to barbecue and eat outside. The hot tub and trampoline were very popular. A couple of small glitches at the start but all sorted very efficiently (as always) by Wellies and Windbreaks.

A fabulous few days away, exploring West Wittering with 7 friends. Accomodation was great, really comfy beds, luxury bedding, well stocked kitchen and the perfect location for long walks and bike rides.
Wouldn’t hesitate in recommending to anyone else.

We were a group of seven adults from two families and this property worked well for us.
The kitchen was very well equipped and there was plenty of space for us all, whether we wanted to be together, or to do our own thing.
One of our group was working remotely for a couple of days, so it was great for them to have a completely separate room to use with a desk and computer monitor.
The property is well located – close to the village shop and pub, with a nice walk to the beach.

Little orchard is positioned in a quiet cul- de-sac on the approach to West Wittering. It has 5 good bedrooms 3 with ensuites and two with a shared bathroom which contained a “large” overhead shower which proved popular with the children.
The ground floor common areas were very spacious with 2 televisions. There is a separate lounge area which we did not use as there was more than adequate room in the open plan kitchen/eating area/lounge. We used the pizza oven and separate barbecue range which are both positioned in an outside courtyard which has extensive outdoor seating.
There is good parking for 3 or 4 cars and a very useful “village shop” is approx 50m along the main road.
We had cyclists with an age range 9 to 80 and used the Saltern trail which starts about 100m from the house and is well signposted and flat.

I absolutely loved this place. This was my annual weekend away with my oldest friends and the house was perfect.

The beds were all comfy, the open plan reception / kitchen / dining area worked really well and was really sociable.

We could walk to the beach, go to the local pub and we even got the bus to Chichester Marina and walked to a lovely pub in Dell Quay where we were spent a lovely sunny afternoon sipping wine on the terrace.

I’m sure the garden is lovely in summer too. We’d love to come back again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Little Orchard over the Christmas week. The property catered well for our family configuration and was tastefully decorated with an exceptionally well-equipped kitchen. We also appreciated the provision of a fully decorated Christmas tree which added to the ambience. The proximity of the family butchers (literally around the corner) was also a bonus!

There were a few minor issues in terms of cleanliness with flies left on the windowsill in one of the bedrooms and some of the showers/bathroom sinks and taps needed de-scaling, however the high quality of the bedlinen and towels made up for this.

We would love to return in the summer months to make more use of the facilities in the garden.

A very well-presented, practical house in an excellent location for enjoying West Wittering, only 20 minutes stroll from the beach. The hot tub was a great addition we throughly enjoyed.
